what holds me back
from changing the world?
ex(time?

this fear of falling from something i love
is unsubstantiated. my failure is
only in my over-analyzing thoughts
my arms itch and tingle
to be put to use
but all i see is distance

my eyes are but closed

"Here we never shall grow old..."
Winter's finally set in, for good this time. So no more chances for days like these for a while...

summed up by my favorite poem, by e e cummings (that is not my favorite poem by e e cummings, but my favorite poem, which happens to be written by mr. cummings)

i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky; and for everything
which is natural which is infinite which is yes

(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun’s birthday; this is the birth
day of life and of love and wings: and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)

how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any–lifted from the no
of all nothing–human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?

(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

So today at around 10.00 am a bus with around 40 students taking students from Lee High School to the local tech school fell off an overpass, killing 3 students and landing 23 in the hospital. I, personally, do not know anyone directly involved, but because of the size of Huntsville, I do know people that do. The step-sister of a girl I work with was on the bus. Just please pray for those involved and their families, for Lee, and for this community.

Things I love about fall:
scarves
the colors
caramel apple cider
candy corn
pumpkins
getting to finally drink hot drinks from Starbucks
football
crips mornings
that extra hour of sleep gained when we "fall back"
and bonfires

As to the name, It's inspired by this piece of writing (http://www.relevantmagazine.com/god_article.php?id=7237) by this guy (http://www.thelongbrake.com/). Ok, so it's stolen. But I love looking at life through the lens of my camera. And I love the idea of looking through eternal and global viewfinders. Photography, and life, depends so much on perspective.
